Mr. Daniel Vorgrimler, Head of Department Strategy and Planning, International Relations, Research and Communication, German Federal Statistical Office

Dr. Daniel Vorgrimler has been head of the “Strategy and Planning, International Relations, Research and Communication” department at the Federal Statistical Office of Germany (Destatis) since 2019. After completing his doctorate in economics, he joined the Office in 2002, where he has since assumed leading roles in the fields of administrative burden measurement and industry, construction and energy. In addition to his responsibilities at the Federal Statistical Office, he has been a member of the German Data Forum (RatSWD) since 2020 and Deputy Chairman since 2024. He was also appointed Deputy Chairman of the German Statistical Society in 2024. Furthermore, throughout his career he has accepted various teaching assignments at the University of Mainz and the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences.
