Mr. Raimonds Lapiņš, Director-General, Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia

Raimonds Lapiņš is Director General of the Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia since 1 February 2024. Prior to this, he was Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of Economics, where he managed EU investment aid programs and helped shape national policies on economic structure, entrepreneurship, and innovation. With exhaustive experience in public administration, international cooperation, and financial management, Raimonds’ work also emphasizes the integration of sustainability dimension into economic policy. Under Raimonds’ leadership, the CSB prioritizes, between other, a user-centered approach to developing robust data frameworks that enable more effective and sustainable policymaking.
