Ms. Ann Carton, Coordinator network Statistics Flanders, Flanders Statistics Authority

Ann Carton has been working at the Flanders Statistics Authority since 2016. She is responsible for the coordination of the Statistics Flanders network and represents Statistics Flanders at the interfederal (Federal state Belgium and the regions) and international level. From 2001 until 2018 she was project leader of the annual survey Socio-cultural shifts in Flanders and the Belgian contact person for the International Social Survey Programme. From 1989 until 2001, she was a research collaborator within the Department of Sociology, Data Collection and Analysis Division at KU Leuven. She studied sociology at KU Leuven and obtained her PhD in Social Sciences from KU Leuven in 1999, with the title “An interviewer network: elaboration of an evaluation procedure for interviewers”.
